The 48 winners of the 7th Annual Business Awards of Macau winners have been revealed last night at a gala ceremony held at the Grand Lisboa ballroom.
Some 300 candidates have taken part in this year’s edition with the 2019 Business Awards of Macau, with the winners selected by a jury panel composed of 30 members.
The Business Awards of Macau is organised by De Fição Multimedia Projects and the Charity Association of Macau Business Readers.
The Grand Merit Award has been granted to the Macau Grand Prix, with the 66th edition of one of Asia’s most renowned motorsport events having just taken place.
Gaming operator Melco Resorts & Entertainment has won the Environmental Performance Gold Award for the sustainability efforts made by the company headed by Lawrence Ho.
Meanwhile, the Excellence Award for this category went to oneCHARGE Energy Solutions (Macau) Limited; Crowne Plaza Macau; and Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A.
The Most Valuable Brand Gold Award went the local branch of Bank of China, with the local banking entity having operated in Macau since 1950.
Restaurant Robuchon au Dôme; Choi Heong Yuen Bakery Macau; Long Prosperity Company Limited – GATHERING, and the CSI Group all received a Most Valuable Brand Excellence Award.
The Gold Award for Corporate Social Responsibility went to Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited (ICBC Macau) and to gaming operator Galaxy Entertainment Group.
The Excellence Awards for CSR were given to Kwan On Environmental Engineering CO., Ltd. and to NetCraft Information Technology (Macau) Co., Ltd.
The Gold Award for Non-Profit Organisation was awarded to the Macau Portuguese and English Press Association (AIPIM), founded in 2005 and currently including over 80 members.
The Excellence Award for NGOs was granted to four entities: the Macao Association for Stray Dogs and Animal Welfare (MASDAW); Orbis; The Lighthouse Club Macau and Confraria da Gastronomia Macaense.
Security company GuardForce (Macau) Limited and cloud-based gaming platform GameSource walked away with a Gold Award for Innovation.
Excellence Awards in the Innovation category went toward Jet One Motion Group, Creation Technology Service Co. Ltd, 4D Creativity Limited and Singou Technology (Macau) Ltd.
Pousada de Coloane Boutique Hotel & Restaurant – one of Macau’s classic hotels located at Cheoc Van Beach – received the Gold Award for the Small and Medium Enterprise category, with the SME excellence awards given to bluBasket Company Limited; MC Sportswear & Uniform LTD; Ambiente Properties Limited; and Boardware Information System Limited.
The New Talent Gold Award was given to Vicky Chan, the Assistant General Manager, Corporate Sales & Marketing of local electronic gaming machines manufacturing company Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Ltd.
The Excellence Awards on this category went to SG Gaming Asia Limited Systems Director, Ramachandran Tripunithura Mahadeva; the President of Young Skal International Macau, Wini Cheong; the St. Regis Macao Rooms Division Manager, Willy Zhang; Grand Lapa Macau Area Learning and Development Manager, Lily Chan Lei; and to the Director of Form C Architectural Consultant Co. Ltd., Meph Mak.
The Young Entrepreneur Gold Award was received by the Co-Founder & Commercial Director of culture exchange company, Miquelina Hoi, and by the CEO and Executive Director of travel agency Ying Hai Group Holdings Company Limited, Choi Wai Chan.
Meanwhile, the Excellence Awards on this category were given to the Managing Director of San Chun Company, Software Limited., Franky Ho; the CEO of GTL International Group Ltd., Jeff Choi Keong; and to the Co-Founder & Design Director of Meet Culture Ltd., Ken Ho.
The CEO of exhibition service organization Macau Expo Group Limited, Alan Ho, received the Entrepreneur Gold Award.
Entrepreneur Excellence Awards were received by KPM Project Management Limited CEO & Partner, Rui Barbosa, and by the Chairman of BoardWare Information System Limited, Chao Ka Chon.
The President of the Macao Wisdom Humanities Encourage Political Association, Ung Choi Kun, was honoured with the Leading by Example Gold Award.
In the same category, an Excellence Award was granted to Faraz Shaikh, a PhD student from the University of Macau Faculty of Science and Technology who discovered an Ebola Virus inhibitor through computer-aided drug design.
The President of the Macao Innovation and Invention Association, Lai Pak Keong; the Director of BCA (Macau) Limited, Keith John Buckley, and ICBC have also received a Leading by Example Excellence Award.
